For €50 per year you are a “Friend of Estelí”. You will then receive a pack of organic coffee every quarter from the fair trade certified cooperative UCA Miraflor from Estelí. We import the coffee via Café Chavalo from Leipzig, who made this video about their fair trade and transport.
With the income from ‘Friends of Estelí’ we contribute to the costs of the town twinning office in Estelí. This office, where 2 employees work 1.5 FTEs together, is financed jointly by the 4 European sister cities. The Stedenband is looking for 100 friends, with which we can pay for our contribution to the functioning of the office in Estelí. As of 01-01-2020, the counter stood at 20 friends.
Would you like to become a Friend of Estelí? Transfer €50 to account NL65 RABO 03834.03413 in the name of St Stedenband Delft-Estelí, stating: “Friend of Estelí” and your address. In exchange, we deliver the coffee to your home four times a year and you receive a discount on activities organized by the Stedenband.
